HI, I’M DARJA
Most people know me online as @darja.draws. I’m an illustrator and designer from Austria, fascinated by how soft lines, muted palettes, and simple shapes can tell complex, emotional stories. Over time, I’ve developed a style rooted in calm compositions and expressive characters—a quiet kind of storytelling that connects deeply with people.
Now, I’m bringing everything I’ve learned together in my first full course, Flat Style, Deep Feelings, a journey into emotional storytelling through character illustration and animation. If you’ve ever wanted your art to speak without words, you’ll feel right at home here.
MY STORY
From a young age, I was always fascinated by how simple shapes and colors can tell complex stories—how a gentle line or muted palette can say more than words. This curiosity became my creative outlet, leading me to focus on developing a style rooted in emotional minimalism: calm compositions, expressive characters, and a quiet kind of storytelling that connects deeply with people. This passion evolved into my work as a designer and illustrator, where I create projects like Cappymind and Oh Sketch.
MY BIGGEST ACHIEVEMENT?
Developing and refining my emotional, minimal visual voice. I show you how I did it by intentionally focusing on quiet design and storytelling.
Without a doubt, blooming my style has been like mastering the recipe for creating art that speaks without words. It has allowed me to stand out in the design field and build projects that align with my passion, such as Cappymind and Oh Sketch, my idea-generation app for artists & Dariko, my creative shop where I turn illustrations into prints and everyday art. The good news? Everything I've learned on my journey to combine clean shapes, thoughtful color, and quiet motion i can teach it to you in my course!
